Brilliant. But... hard work. Still learning, but I was told the importance of scales. I guess it's really to make the keyboard commit to muscle memory. Having spent too much money on too many different books, personally, to me, having this book, together with the Alfred learning series and of course the occasional... ahem... improvising... okay, messing about! We all need a bit of messing about on the piano. Can't study all the time; well I struggle with that. Oops, gone off piste. This book, together with my Alfred All in one seems to work for me. The layout is very clear, giving you the option of finger numbers and notes.
