The carport was bought as two 4.25m x 3.00m kits to be cut to suit the required 7.4m x 2.6m. At one point the wall plate had to cross a recess in the brickwork where the front door / window occured. To maintain support for the wall plate I installed an 80mm RHS beam in the brickwork. The quality of the materials provided was excellent and instructions good. As I was fixing the post anchors through block paving into concrete below I replaced the the provided anchors with 160mm long anchors bolts. After the installation of the gutter beam and sealing all joints I did a water drainage test and found water pooling near mid length. I lowered the two downstream posts by 10mm and 20mm to correct the drainage flow. The cross supports and sheets were then installed without any problems. I do have to point out two minor problems along the way:- 1. The rivet gun only lasted for 11 rivets before it was no longer capable of setting the rivet and snapping the pin. I decided to use my own heavier duty rivet gun. 2. The self tapping screws provided were loose in the holes extruded into the wall and gutter beams. I replaced these screws with my own 25mm long self tapping stainless steel screws. Overall I am extremely pleased with the finished installation and would recommend it to others who may be considering a similar installation.
