The Nordsman was the first Roark that caught my eye, and I've acquired a few of them since that fateful day
Couple Tetons in heavy organic cotton as well as some lighter gauge cotton/poly blends, and a growing collection of these polyester/wool flannels
At 5'9"/135lbs I prefer the trimmer fit of extra small shirts when I can get them, tho most of my Roark's are size small - gives me room for layering. I've got lots of their jackets & pants as well and have found their sizing not only very consistent across the board, but also pretty much in alignment with most other brands I've always worn. Though I've obviously never been able to try anything on first, I've also never had to return anything because it was bigger (or smaller) than I expected it to be. Another reason I can always order from these guys with 100% confidence
Nordsman Flannels may only contain 10% wool, but it's plenty sufficient to ward off the chill. I'll need a henley or a T beneath because I can feel every bit of that wool tickling my skin! But with a coat like the Hebrides on top, I'm ready for the coolest fall days. This is a warm shirt!
And beautiful. Bold, but somehow understated at the same time. A particularly striking pattern ~ kinda Aztec/Mayan maybe.. paired with colors that are gorgeous too, but not in an in-your-face way. More earthy & subdued. Absolutely appropriate for the changing seasonal palette. Another winner from Roark!
