Just got my SPT treadmill today and set it up in my garden shed. Delivery: I hadn't heard from them for about 5 days after purchase, so I reached out to support via the chat bot. Took about 20 minutes to get a response and what was given was a bit short and sharp. They simply said, if you haven't got a call from the delivery driver by Thursday, reach out again. Sure enough I got a call the next day and it arrived on Thursday (7 days after purchase). I think that is a pretty reasonable turn around overall. I also understand that they probably have a lot of orders to process given that I purchased this during the summer sale. Setup: Pretty straight forward overall. 4 Bolts and 4 screws. Manual does as decent job of explaining everything. The included tools are decent enough. Though I do recommend that you have another person around to help get it out of the box. One of the bolts required a bit of effort to get in but its done now. Usage: Pretty smooth thus far. The deck is really nice and soft which is great for those long runs I plan on doing. Speed range is nice. I had a go with the automatic incline. It has a few levels which are decent for the price. Though it's a bit fiddly as you can only adjust it when the belt is moving. Another thing worth noting is that the bottle holders don't fully grab the bottle all the way around. So if you are running pretty fast, it's possible that this will jiggle it and it may fall out. Admittedly I haven't tested this yet. But if you need a sturdy bottle holder, I suggest you look at either the Zoom or one of the more premium models. Fortunately I have a bit of adjacent shelf space in my garden shed so I won't need to worry too much. While it does have a max speed of 20km/h. I am curious to see how long it will be able to sustain that pace before a mandatory cooldown, given that it only has a 2.5HP motor. That being said, I'm more of a distance runner and I think this should do fine for the 9-11KM/h pace I usually do. According to the manual, it will only do a mandatory rest after 99.9kms. Which is pretty decent. Though I haven't confirmed that for myself yet. The ipad holder gap looks a bit narrow 1.5 inches. So if you have a really bulky case you may struggle a bit. I also tested the speakers connected via blutooth. They work fine and can get reasonably loud. Though being in a garden shed, I probably won't use them as I don't want to disturb my neighbours. That being said, there is all mids and highs, with zero base. Sound is fairly flat overall. But you won't buy this treadmill because of the speakers. It's mainly there to integrate with the training apps. Bring your own speakers/headphones if you want to pump up the jams. Size: Good enough for me. I'm 5ft7 and I fit in it pretty well. Though the deck a bit narrow compared to commercial treadmills I've used in the past. But I do like how the bars and computer end isn't unnecessarily bulky. My mother in law has another treadmill with an even smaller deck and which has larger safety bars and it just looks a bit ridiculous. I've managed to squeeze this into a small garden shed we have out in the back yard. Which is probably not the most ideal place to put it, but we didn't have many other good options. Anyway, its a bit tight but we have made it work and it's still usable in there. But I guess time will tell. Maintenance: I haven't had a chance to apply some new lube yet as I haven't used it enough yet. But the manual does a good job of explaining the process. And I do like how you get one free tube of belt lube. Also if you leave a review with a photo they will send you 3 more bolts of lube, which is really nice value. Overall: First impressions are pretty solid. It has a nice running deck. The modes are good. The features are nice. Setup wasn't too much hassle. But I would like to see more sturdy bottle holders. Though these aren't deal breakers. Solid recommend overall. Update: Had it for over a week. It still works well. Though I usually run at 10.6km/hr for an hour. Having used commercial machines I know what that speed feels like. The SPT seems to struggle to maintain this speed over the long haul. The distance travelled also reflects this with it reporting 10.2-10.4kms over the hour. Perhaps it's my setup, I will experiment with levelling it out more. Though I suspect it's really just the power of the 2.5HP motor hitting its limits for that duration. I will try upping the speed and we'll see if that compensates. Still a great unit overall. Especially if you like sprinting.
