I am usually not taken by a strat. Being a Jackson fan, I love my RRs and Warriors. I was always curious about trying a Charvel. Boy did I pick the right one! I wanted another 7 string and this Angel Vivaldi DK24-7 Nova is an incredible guitar. Picking it up for 1/2 price on the Music440 once-a-year sale was the right choice. Would I pay $3,800? No! $1,900? DAMN STRAIGHT!!! The neck is different, maintaining the same thickness up the neck, but I'm getting used to it and I really love it now. This would have to be the most friendly 7 string to get used to, it feels so natural and plays like a dream! The combination of the DiMarzio Tone Zone for incredible metal tone and the Air Norton in "parallel mode" for insanely beautiful clean tone. I'm glad I made the choice. Also being a Floyd Rose guy, I was skeptical about the Gotoh 510 tremolo. However, not too bad stability-wise at all. The maple neck and gold hardware against the satin black finish are incredible. Lastly, the 7 string reverse headstock. I usually hate Fender-style headstocks, but? This has grown on me. It just looks, feels and plays awesomely. I love this guitar!
