The RAMAIR Performance ProRam Air Intake is well made with quality parts, fixtures and fittings. The heat shields and carbon lids form a closed box type solution, ensuring heat soak should not be a problem and cooler/denser air can get to the filters. The filters themselves are huge, good quality and well made. The kit takes a while to put together as you need to cut and fit the linings to the heat shields, attach the feet/plugs and fit the silicone hoses/clamps/adaptors as well as carefully screwing together the carbon lids. The kit also includes some unique connectors called velocity stack adaptors, which are essentially perfect fitting adaptors connecting the pipe to the filter itself. Install on the car was relatively simple. I am by no means good with general car DIY, but it took me about an hour and half including getting the old airboxs and pipework out and the new stuff in. Perhaps the only slightly negative comment I would make is that the instructions provided are not particuarly in depth, two or three key steps have been ommitted and more effort could have been taken in this area. There are alternate install videos on YouTube which proved helpful when the instructions provided didn't. Despite the instructions, the end result in the engine bay looks fantastic, everything sits really well once installed and the carbon lids finish the kit off perfectly. Be warned, this intake is fairly loud so if your looking for discreet this is perhaps not for you!
