The lift of lifting had reached a cross roads.
Continue doing what I'd always done, which meant feeling okay but not really that great because of a niggling injury that just wouldn't heal. Or I could stop lifting all together and start down a totally unfamilar path. I chose the latter and can say that 20 sessions in, it was the right action to take.
There's less stiffness, the niggles are slowly becoming less niggly and overall I'm looking forward to training again.
To anyone who has also found themselves at a similar point in life, take the leap of faith. I promise it'll be worth it.
