“I've ordered the original Tektro E10.11 pads online. After a full brake bleed and decontamination, the Shimano BR-MT400 have half the stopping power on my rear wheel and squeel like crazy. I'll be swapping them out as soon as they arrive. I don't recommend the Shimano's for a heavy Cube hybrid touring e-bike.”
“To be honest, I couldn't be more disappointed in 99 Bikes - as a long time customer. I took time off from work to take my bike into have new brakes installed as part of a service and a day later get a quote back for $750+ !! The long list of items that made up the exhorbitant bill include a bunch of nice to haves (like new pedals when there is nothing wrong with the ones on the bike). I submitted the bike acknowledging that it wasn't in the best shape - being clear I only wanted the brakes fixed -- and returned a day later with nothing done to it, no not even the brakes installed, so I bought them to install myself.”

Best to ride up and down the street with some heavy braking to ensure they're seated well before going on a long ride.”
