“I use the EH500 across disciplines. MTB (XC and trail), on the hybrid commuter (everyday ride). I'm surprised by their performance as a flat pedal on hard trails and being able to clip-in to climb is smooth as. On the commuter they clip-in (and out!) easy as and smoothly, ideal for everyday riders that didn't want to feel 'bolted' to their cranks.”
“This pedal provides best of both application i.e. flat pedal on one side and clip on the other. This is for MX application but I use it for road where I use it with MX clipless shoe. When I'm riding in a bike pathway I use the clip side and when I'm riding in multi traffic area which is more unpredictable, I use the flat side where you need quick response to get off the pedal/bike. I hope Shimano develops one for road use clipless/Flat.”
