However, the lens assembly sits proud of the body of the light by about 2mm (see photo of the underside). This doesn’t seem like much until you’re riding in the dark and there’s a massively illuminated little strip of white at the bottom of your peripheral vision. I’ve addressed this by making a little hood of gaffer tape that extends out over the top of the lens, but in my opinion it’s a design flaw.”
