Magene Exar Ultralight TPU 60mm Presta Valve Tube 700 x 23c-28c Reviews

4.2 Rating 35 Reviews
I went to your store on Oxford St to purchase two inner tubes for my CUBE bicycle that I bought from you. I gave the lady the inner tube that needed replaced. She gave me two tubes of the wrong size. Now I am stuck overseas without the tubes I need to get my bike on the road. Ibought one lightweight and one standard. I will return these when i come back to Australia in about six weeks. The tubes look like they are 4-5cm too large for the rim. This is poor service and small errors can have big consequences.

Won't buy these again. The valve stem is too wide to fit inside my floor pump, so I have to use hand pump or CO2. They leak air therefore requiring pumping at least twice a week, which I understand is normal for TPU. .

Changed my roadie from butyl tubes to TPU recently, price difference not so big a deal these days so thought I’d give them a go. Any doubts I had are gone. These tubes ‘feel’ faster. Yes I have set lots of new PBs on short sections, overall speed about the same. My guess is that these spin up to speed faster with lower rolling resistance. I feel I can hold flat speed longer, go uphill in a higher gear ratio. Longer PBs set on butyl tubes might still be hard to beat (but hey, I was way younger and fitter back then). One tube did go flat overnight which had me worried I got a pinch flat, but I checked the tube and it’s fine. Reinstalled carefully and put extra tape around the valve hole just in case. All good now. Maybe the valve wasn’t screwed in tight. One more thing… my tool bag is so light I just chuck it in my jersey pocket, no worries!
