“Full disclosure: The Opera Media Console is not the media console I really wanted. But my preferred choice from a famous three-letter furniture company that rhymes with “FBI” was 3 times the price, so after weeks of deliberation, I “settled” for the Burrow as it was the only other unit I could find that met my airflow and (low) height requirements. But I can honestly say I’m pleasantly surprised by the Opera. It was ridiculously easy to assemble, and feels very solid once constructed. The finish is attractive, and the doors slide smoothly. (The magnets that help the doors to close flat are a nice touch.) This unit’s depth is sufficient for larger consoles like a PS5 without jamming cables at questionable angles. And the airflow is good enough that I don’t worry about the PS5 running with the console doors closed. For the price, it’s hard to imagine you’ll be sorry buying this console.”

“Opera is a beautiful piece of furniture, glad to have it as media console in my living room, it looks great. However, I did encounter an issue in fitting my AV receiver (Yamaha RX-V565) in the consol. Once I connected the cords (HDMIs, RCAs etc) in the rear panel of the receiver, they would be pushing the whole receiver too much towards the front impeding the front door to close because it would hit the volume control. I was in disbelief when I found out, I tried all possible combinations to make it work but nothing would work in fitting it properly. After all, the rear larger openings of the media console are the main reason I chose this console. Unfortunately I had to modify myself the rear opening and making it a bit larger in height so that the various cords (HDMIs, RCAs etc) have adequate access in the rear panel of the receiver without needing to push the the whole receiver towards the front too much. Now it fits nicely. Without me needing to cut openings in the rear panel this would be an easy 5/5 star console.”
