Rockymounts GuideRail Two Bike Rear Mounted Bike Rack Reviews

5 Rating 5 Reviews
I have previously owned a Rocky Mounts bilke rack and loved it. I purchased the GuideRail two bike rack to accomodate e-bikes. It is easy to set-up, easy to use and strong as an Ox, what more can I say, love it. Thanks Rocky Mounts for another great product.

This rack is phenomenal - the design, usability and attention to detail is second to none. Beautifully finished with subtle details, all metal durability but still light enough to install and uninstall easily. Highly and easily adjustable for different bikes and to prevent any rubbing. The included heavy duty chain gives some piece of mind if you have to duck into the shops quickly (but if you care about your bike don't leave it on the rack out of sight). I use a lighter looped end cable when travelling as I've heard of bikes being stolen off cars at lights. Bikes are totally secure and the anti rattle hitch means minimal wobbling. The rack folds up neatly and we tend to leave it on the car. Only downside is when in the up position it can obstruct the view of the rearview camera but not a deal breaker. A1roofracks has excellent customer service - Answered my questions and was delivered the next day.

Well built, good quality rack that's easy to use. This is my first bike rack so I have nothing to compare against. The main reasons I chose the Guiderail 2 is it accepts bikes up to a 55" wheelbase and is relatively light in comparison to other racks. At this stage I take it off after every use so weight was a consideration. Even though I dont have an ebike I have every confidence it can handle the majority of them with no issues given the weight rating. I've only used it a few times and so far very satisfied with it. The tyre clamps on both ends are solid, easy to use and locks down the bike securely, the anti-wobble hitch mount works as expected. There are minimal plastic parts and overall build feels solid giving confidence of its durability. I only transport 1 bike (27.5 wheels) so cannot comment on 2 bikes or 29" bikes. A fairly beefy chain is also supplied and the locking mechanism to the rack is quite good in my opinion. If I had to nit pick i'd say the lock for the hitch pin could be beefier but overall i'm very happy and highly recommend the rack. Its not a cheap bike rack but the quality is very good.
