Hi Edward, We're sorry to hear your carrier doesn't seem right! Yakima's HoldUp Bike carrier has a really solid Anti-Rattle device that should rigidly mount the carrier to your towbar. If your carrier is sitting crooked when the Hitch-Bolt is tightened, please remove the carrier asap and get in touch with our customer service team to troubleshoot as it may not be assembled/fitted correctly.
