“It seems that Autel didn't put much time into their app and remote controller for this aircraft. i don't like how so much can only be done through the app and you don't have the ability to make adjustments, flip between IR and visual, etc from the RC. The camera is awesome but when time is of the essence I find it frustrating to have to go into the app menus to toggle between modes. I'm hoping that AR can make some improvements to the app because I'd say the hardware is there.”

Alex, thank you for the good feedback here. You can be assured that this is feedback we have already relayed to the Autel team from our early public safety testing with the EVO II Dual. “Our UAS program has needed a small thermal system that has good resolution and this is finally it. The DJI M2ED is a good ship but the thermal camera isnt usable for us. The only thing I wish the EVO had was the ability to use a spotlight or speaker like the M2ED.”

Thanks for the review. We definitely agree that we wish their was Speaker and Spotlight functionality on the EVO II Dual. Maybe we'll see a 3rd party add-on. Safe flying!

“We have the DJI 210 and xt2 thermal camera as well as the mavic dual and to say the least we've been extremely impressed by the EVO 2 dual from Autel. The thermal on this thing is incredible. Very happy that we saved some budget to add this bird to our fleet.”
