“I've got two complaints. Firstly, the TriplTek 8 Pro is that it is a chunky monkey! It is thick and it is heavy! I knew this before purchasing, but I think it still caught me a little by surprise how heavy it actually is. My scale shows it at 663 grams which is more than 2x that of the latest iPad mini that has a similarly sized screen. Secondly, the WB of the screen definitely skews to the cold side of the Kelvin scale. I would love the ability to be able to change the WB to a more neutral color. Besides those 2 negatives, it functions fantastic so far.”

“This thing is a MONSTER!! The peak of drone tablets! Super bright UHD screen, Octa-core ARM 2.0GHZ processor, making it snappy and super responsive with wet or gloved hands, 8GB of ram, 256GB of internal storage with room for a whopping 1T of expandable SD storage. It's unlocked with full phone features, has a graphics processor for gaming, IP68. It has a massive 12k mah battery that trust me, lasts for days!! It runs most drone manufacturers apps for commercial and consumer drones, and can run most Android apps because it's running a full version of stock Android 10. So why only 4 stars?!? When I say stock Andriod, I mean stock. This WILL NOT be a big deal for most people!! I ONLY hope Tripltek uses this review to change the UI just a little bit to make "backing out" of apps, and pulling up "active background apps" easier for pilots through the touch screen as many pilots will be multi-tasking with their drones on a regular basis in the near future. Hopefully this can be done with simple OTA Software Updates or included with an Andriod 11 Update?!? Otherwise, you'd be hard pressed to find a better tablet, with better features, built with better quality, at a better price point for your drone, than the Tripltek 8 Pro!”

Vincent, thank you very much for the constructive review, well said. We are passing your comments to the Tripltek team and I believe this is something that they can implement and improve on via an OTA update. They've already been quick to roll out a few very good updates with feature improvements, so hopefully this one can be done swiftly too. Fly safe!
