“Going for more than 25 years + with a pair of AFTCO gafts on my 1996 whaler. AFTCO 2 in with 4 foot handle and a 4 in gaft with a 6 foot handle. The 2 in gets the bulk of the work and almost came to an end with a large ray - got bent up a little but is still going strong. Should have used the 4 in gaft on 25 pound plus fish. About 10 years ago my handle plugs popped out - a quick message to AFTCO and I had a hand full of new plugs in my hand by mail. RTV them this time - no loose ends. “My gaff was touted as being a floating gaff. I had video footage showing the gaff sinking after a large mahi briefly snatched it from the mate's hands. Aftco stood behind their claim and replaced the gaff. The quality of the gaff is as expected. No issues there. I was pleasantly surprised at the customer service. Thanks.”
