I ordered large and they are a bit tight. It wasnt clear there is no fabric in the palm area of the hand. Otherwise they seem to be durable after using them once.

Really good gloves that protect your hands from the sun. Plus your fingers are able to maneuver and work on your equipment with ease.

overall ordering & shipping uneventful. purchased two separate sun glove styles.measured palms according to directions, my sizefell exactly between lg & xtra lg. so i order both in xtra lg.i enjoy the gloves. perfect for a few days of 118 degree tempson the water all day. of course the gloves, & all my clothing, were immersed frequently to cool off.my only negative - too difficult to get my hands into the gloves. i can hear/feel the openings stretch, possibly tearing, as i force my hands in. once gloves are on, all is well. basically, the opening to the gloves is extremely small.

So far so good. I like the snug fit. I fish offshore from San Diego. I love AFTCO gloves. I own the “Short Pump “ gloves and the “Release” gloves. I use the full finger Release on my Left hand for handling braid line upon retrieve/fight and the open finger tip Short Pump on my right hand for the reel and knot tying. My dermatologist urged gloves — for a well-spent ypouth around the water. The Sun Glove open palm was fine and very light on my right (reel) hand on a recent Yellowtail trip. I think it fine for coastal and smaller fish. Going for some medium tuna in 2 weeks — I will see then whether the open palm works for bigger / tougher - longer fighting fish. Will have Short Pump as back-up.Tight Lines

Have enjoyed using these gloves as the back of my hands were getting sunburned while fishing. They have been very comfortable to wear and can still tie on lures with the fingerless design.Highly recommend for fishing.
