“Ardent inshore paddle-kayak angler (lotsa miles each trip), fingers subject to cuts from landing certain fish (w/ sharp scutes) and tying FG knots (so I need gloves). Most locally-available fingerless gloves aren't long enough to give me the max finger coverage, so I still suffer occasional cuts. BUT THESE ARE, so gave them a try. Ordered 2 sizes, just in case. Yeah, they tend to be at least one-size-too-small. Exchange policy on the one pair remedied! (and outstanding, cheerful!) Gloves are built with a LOT of 'architecture' designed into them (more than the other brands at the same price), "Looks impressive, but time will tell." After a good handful of abusive trips, I'm sold. Have recently stocked-up w/ 3 more pairs. Be advised, these gloves don't give any wrist coverage, just the hands. OK by me. And even the up-sized glove is a tight fit. Turns out, that was an extra blessing for me, as they seem to stretch just enough to be a 'second skin', so there's less stuff flapping that other things can get caught on (I usually have lots going-on, and in tight spaces). Good grip, even when wet. I carry a hand towel; just give it a good squeeze if the glove is totally-soaked, and I'm back in business. Good job, AFTCO!”
