“Really like this shirt. Especially the hood. Love how it zips to protect the face. Also doesn’t pull against my neck constantly and make me feel like I’m choking. I’ve had skin cancer 4 times. I’ve fished since I was 4 years old , now 61. The sun will take it’s toll on you eventually the design of the hoodie makes the day go much easier and don’t have to apply sun tan lotion so often , it covers me up. Melanoma once. Get checked regularly. I was lucky caught it fast and only had to cut out. Keep covered up”
“Used once and felt some improvements could be made. I felt the face shielding portion needs to be improved to ensure the nose can be covered. At the same time I think some kind of ventilation is needed for breathing…since we wear sunglasses they tend to fog up when breathing, especially through the nose. I would like to see finger coverings added to the end of the sleeves…four half fingers instead of the elastic thumb band would add protection. Did not use the pocket…don’t see a need for it. Otherwise I like the shirt and will continue to use it.”

“The Jason Christie Hoodie was over-the-top for me. Perfect for Florida at midday I’m sure.On the other hand the Samurai is a wonderful garment for me. I recently ordered a heather one which I noticed after awhile does not come emblazoned with logos. The NASCAR driver look isn’t me. I have two of the emblazoned ones already—also wonderful garments. Here is the part you might want to keep on the down-low. Samurais make excellent pajamas . You see my wife wants to sleep with the windows and patio door flung open and the covers thrown back. I’m cold that way. But, with a Samurai I pull up the hood and I’m cosy and domestic detente is reached. Mind you as a bed partner I do look like the Creature from the Black Lagoon or an Ingmar Bergman anti-hero but so far that hasn’t inhibited us. In fact . . .”
“I have tested this shirt. Many days fishing 10 hour days in the sun at 90-100 degrees clear lake California. This shirt is very comfortable and keeps you cool in the sun. Excellent sun protection Around the face area. The extra fabric on the hood really help and is adjustable when waring a hat, you can pull back the hood slightly or forward for complete sun protection on the face. No sunscreen needed. Just purchased for my sons also. I have the samurai sun shirts also but this one is much more protection. I’m 6’3” 270 lbs 56” chest, the 3x fits great not tight at all. Best $50 you can spend.
