The jacket is great but it lacks the the thumb holes like the pullover. The zip up is easier to remove when working and having gear on. Wish this came with the thumb slots

I love this jacket and use it all the time for inshore. The mask and armpit holes is what sold me on it. I stay warm and don’t overheat once the sun gets high on cooler days. Breaks the wind great on the boat ride. Easy for me to layer with the XL. I’m 5 foot 11 and 225. I usually wear a Sitka base layer underneath on cold days. Sleeves are not too slim as others have mentioned if you have non bulky base layers or a thinner hoody. The outside fabric material is great for durability and deflecting hooks from getting stuck in the jacket which I like. My only negative to this jacket and it’s a big one, is it stains very easily and the stains will not come out. I have gotten Pro Cure on it in places from using on swim baits and it looks like grease stains. I have the charcoal gray jacket and it’s a good looking jacket that I like to wear when not fishing. If you drop anything greasy on it you will have a spot from it. Mine looks like it’s been in a war after a year. I will buy another but if this concerns you I’d go with Black.

This is not "comfy" by no means. But does a good job at what it's designed for. As allot of reviews have posted, it is tight in the shoulders and arms. Especially if you carry any muscle there and/or are built wide. Hard to layer underneath with anything but a performance shirt or light thermal. On top, I found a Lews jacket will fit. But then you have two hoods. If you wear a "base layer" like Aftco suggest in their layering guide, you then have 3 hoods. Or a non hooded cotton long sleeve. Which is a big no go for a base layer. I wear Sitka for hunting. So I am accustomed to layering comfortably. I think Aftco could refine their system and the size of this particular jacket. If you go one size up, you still will have the normal baggy middle of the jacket, but just extra baggy and long. God Bless.

Was excited to get this jacket. Have many AFTCO products and love ‘‘em all with the exception of this one. Cannot layer with this jacket due to very tight sleeves. This defeats the purpose of this jacket IMO. Larger size would only make it too big everywhere else. So if you want this jacket for cooler fall or spring weather, and I know what cooler weather is because I live in Michigan, you may want to consider another option.

So far I really like the jacket! Already tested it in the rain and cold and was just fine. I only wish it was a bit more insulated, but layering up is a quick fix for that.
