Read AG Woodcare Products Ltd Reviews

Blanchon Resin Filler has been specially formulated to be mixed with saw dust to form a wood filler.Resin filler is highly effective and is recommended for general filling of glued wooden floors (in particular strip wood floors). also ideal for use on any interior timbers. To be mixed with the sawdust taken from the wood to be filled creating the perfect colour match.Do not use on wooden floors laid on floor battens.Resin Filler dries and hardens quickly and can be sanded as normal timber.Outstanding adhesion to most wood species (please consult us for rare exotic woods),Âto be used only on bare and sanded wood.If wood is to be stained a trial coat is advisable to check compatibility.Apply using a wide spatula,ÂCoverage is variable, depending on substrate condition and proportions used.Superb product.Pack size 1L, 5L and 10LFor further information and application methods, health and the environment see the technical data sheets in the downloads tab below. .

I used a belt sander on my good quality, well laid old floor and cleaned dirt from the many thin and fewer thick gaps between the floorboard joints. I mixed small quantities of resin with saved sawdust, finding by trial and error to stop adding sawdust when the mixture started to become thicker. I applied the mixture to the joints with a small trowel so that excess could be scraped off as I progressed, and lightly sanded the areas clean after a hour or so. I repeated this exercise to fill the remaining gaps where the first application of resin had sunk down into the gaps, whilst trying to smooth the mixture to get a smooth flat finish in the gaps before it dried. I used a wood scraper and wire wool to finish the bare floor before applying 3 coats of natural wax/oil. The end result is very good but the resin-filled gaps are darker than the adjacent boards.
