Osmo UV Protection Oil Extra is available in 3 satin-matt formats;- Clear 420, Oak 425 and Cedar 428. The Extra indicates the product contains active ingredients protecting the coating against algae and fungal decay and it there for more suitable for exterior use,The added preservative main function is to protect the applied coating and offers little protection to the wood it self so it is highly recommended to treat bare timber with Osmo W R Basecoat prior to the application of Osmo UV protection OilUV Protection Oil is a natural oil based and micro-porous finish that will not crack, flake, peel or blister and is suitable for interior and exterior joinery applications, it is not however suitable for flooring applications.The clear finish (420) can be used as a top coat after staining and is compatible with most good quality wood stains prolonging the renovation time significantly.
