Found it to be a very good wood protector far superior to your every day standard water repellant that is available elsewhere. I gave my bare wood a wipe down with methylated spirit prior to applying the base coat .The timber I was treating was a Scandinavian red wood as far as I am aware a soft wood. The build up quality was good and I gave it three coats with a light rub down in-between coats with a fine sandpaper block. It gave a good final coverage with a good finish and I applied it with a painting pad which produced an even finish. In comparison to other water based wood protectors and I have tried many it has so far certainly stood up to the wet weather that we sometimes encounter here in sunny west wales.......

Very easy to apply and work with. Low odour and washes out the brushes easily. It is also good to be able to apply a couple of coats in one day, so speeds up the maintenance burden!
