All That Is Made Reviews

It's hard for me to write a five star review. There is nothing blatantly negative about the book I received through its influencer program, but I find we can always grow. Alabaster & Co. is a leader in beautifully designed, heart-touching literature that truly speaks to the heart of God's children. I love that it connects our belief with our actions as artists, makers, creators, and designers. God is the ultimate artist. The message flows clearly throughout the book and helps you dig deeper into what makes you a creator. There are sections about failure, spiritual practice, and creating. This is not just a pretty coffee table book. It's something that reaches the soul.

I don’t know about you, but lately I have felt like I was just wandering around in the wilderness. I knew I had a passion for having my own creative business, I knew I wanted it to glorify God, I just didn’t quite know how to lay the framework and where to begin creating. I often find myself caught up in the rush of the world - stressing because I feel like I need to do more - be more - create more. I have a hard time sitting still, and a hard time just resting in the presence of God and allowing him to direct my steps (especially when I have so many business ideas.) I feel like this book serves as an excellent framework for encouraging yourself to really slow down and take a step back from all the pressure to create and focus on cultivating your God-given skills and abilities to help your creative business thrive. This book really encouraged me to cultivate generosity, community, and to appreciate those still, quiet moments growing closer to the Lord and honing in on the direction He is leading me. I believe it can encourage all of us as creatives to slow down and focus on all of the intricate details interwoven into our souls - allowing us to create on a much more profound level. I also found myself very encouraged by the prayers at the end of each section. They were beautifully worded, very thoughtful, and provide another excellent framework for growth. This book definitely refocused where I believed I needed to direct my attention as a creative (and turned the focus back on our creator) and really encouraged me to step outside of my comfort zone. For any creative who longs to do meaningful work, wants to glorify God with talents and abilities, and who just wants to love others and make (or do) cool things - this book is for you! I would definitely recommend having a copy of this book in your creative toolkit! [I received a complimentary copy of this book from Alabaster’s influencer program]

I am both honored and blessed to have the opportunity to read and review Alabaster Co new release “All That Is Made” and to participate in their Alabaster's Influencer Program once again. I absolutely love all of Alabaster Co products and was eager to read their new release. Alabaster’s craftsmanship and creativity can be felt from the moment you open their books and read the first few paragraphs. They have a unique way of capturing their reader’s attention and giving you food for thought through their writings and pictures. I have often resonated with the author on many occasions and this book is no different. Because I too am a creative one of the most important things to me is Silence and quieting down my world. When I saw the chapter on “Silence”, I knew it would be one of my favorites. With all of the noise in the world today via social media, the news and online in general, silence has quickly become a commodity that I have valued in my life. It’s so easy to be led by social media influencers and to find yourself signing up for courses to do things the worlds way in order to get the numbers and impact, however, as a Kingdom citizen, a business owner and a minister of the Gospel, I know that I am an extension of God’s hand in the Earth therefore I understand the importance and need for Silence in order for me to hear God’s instructions and to do what He wants done next. I also understand, as All That Is Made, so eloquently wrote, that “Silence is for calming, for emptying out, for letting go and allowing Jesus to do His work” in my own personal life. These moments allow me to have a greater impact in the world in which we live. I highly recommend this book to everyone especially the creative in the world who are pursuing their purpose in life. Although I received this book complimentary, I can say that I would have purchased it on my own regardless. And with that being said, I will be purchasing a copy for my daughter who is an author and loves Alabaster’s products, my son as he pursues his purpose in life and many others. This book is an excellent addition to your reading library.
