“Something Incredible about John the Baptist is that even though he was called to have a major role, he was humble. He said “though his (Jesus) ministry follows mine, I’m not even worthy to be his slave and untie the straps of his sandals.” I think of how often I’ve thought that what I’m doing is so great. But I need to remember that it’s not by any of my own ability or power that God will move, but by His ability and power alone.
