Something about the design and photography in this edition just works so well. I’ve loved using the Alabaster books as part of my Bible study in recent years, because they encourage me to slow down and spend more time with the Bible, and with Ruth, the visuals capture my imagination as I read the text of this powerful story. It's definitely a different way to read the Bible than what many of us are used to, and I think that's cool.

“This is my second Alabaster Book and I’m always astounded at how well they couple the imagery with the story. Ruth has always been a favorite story of mine but I found myself even more intrigued as it felt like I was reading the story for the first time again. This story reminds me of Gods grace. Ruth could have returned to her people and her gods, but as she committed to her mother in law she found favor with God and was then grafted into the lineage of Jesus! How cool!

That being said, I always appreciate how Alabaster ties their imagery with the text and this agrarian story of God's faithfulness to his people is wonderful and I appreciate the chance to come back to this story through the work of Alabaster!”
