I enjoyed that they were separate books so that I could focus on reading one Gospel book at a time, or even lend a Gospel book while I was reading another. And even then, Alabaster had a unique and unified vision and theme for each Gospel book. For example. Alabaster used circles throughout their Matthew to depict Jesus’s nature and the color red throughout their book of Mark to depict love and the human experience. So when Alabaster had all 4 Gospels together into one book, I was curious if they made any changes to themes and pictures among other things. Alas, I didn’t detect any changes. But this should not be a disappointment, but rather celebrating a continuation of what made Alabaster great. So if you preferred to get the Gospels as one entire book rather than separate, then this Hardcover of the Gospels is just for you.
