“I’m currently doing this study with my Bible study group. It’s beautiful and we are enjoying learning about “new” people that we aren’t so familiar with from the Bible. We like the format, simplicity, and questions posed; however, we feel it’s geared either towards a different generation (we’re in our late 30s) and/or the authors are trying to make a political justice reference each person we study. Sometimes it correlates to the study, and other times it seems like they are really reaching to make a point. We’ve come to the point now that we already know some message about gender, race, economic status, etc. is going to be included. Again, it’s a good study and those topics are important, but I think the writers could’ve approached it differently. It’s a bit distracting at times. I wouldn’t let that deter you from purchasing this, but you’ll most likely notice this, too.”
