“Before purchasing the awning I read the reviews and saw the biggest complaint was with the instructions. I looked at the instructions and watched the videos before installing, and it didn't look as if it would be difficult. I can say the instructions and videos dont cover every step, but if you have some mechanical knowledge and ability, and can see how things are supposed to work, you should be fine. We bought the motor and didn't see anything that said if using a motor, to remove the manual crank end of the awning. You will want to do this and install the motor on that end. All in all, happy with the product and glad we bought it.”
