PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
This chain driven sliding gate opener is designed with a 120V AC (3/4 HP equivalent) motor which provides exceptional starting torque and continuous operation, making it perfect for most applications. It opens gates weighing up to 1,400 lbs or 40 Ft in length (20 ft chain is included; if your gates are more than 20 ft in length then you can purchase an extra chain in " Chains" section).

“Once installed and activated for less than 10 times, the motor stopped. Had to do my own diagnostics with a voltage meter to determine the mother board was bad. The new motherboard is to be delivered tomorrow. Dealing with technical staff was iffy. My expectations of timely shipping and informing me of same was very laxidasical . If they put you on hold expect 5 minutes of waiting”

“This is the Second aleko ac1400 I have purchased. I had the first one for about 4years and never had problems. I stopped working all of sudden, just hummed, I'm sure I could of replaced parts and sent them back if it wasn't what was causing the problem, Tech assured me I could return the board after talking to him, but I didn't want to waste time and money, I think for the price I paid it, was worth the time for myself and wife to have the luxury of not getting out in the rain or cold to open the gate. Yes we got a little spoiled. I use mine for a hurricane fence type gate, I know I don't have the magnets set right, at least when it opens, it just stops by itself when it reaches the end. need to figure out where i can find a welder to place the magnet where i need it. but it works great. All I have is the v groove on the drive way and v groove wheel, nothing fancy added to it. All I had to do this time was replace the top parts, easy peasy. Used the same base. I am a DYI and have no experience with this. Just follow instructions and watch you tube video. The base is the hardest part, has to be close enough to gate for alignment. Hope It's been helpful. I hope this one last as long.”

“Definitely not a commercial brand whatsoever. DoesnвЂ™t last forever. Seems to have problems. I bought several of them and finally gave up. I made sure the motor matched the size of the gate. Still had problems with magnets and drive motor”

“Lots of power in a small package. I chose it because of the good reviews. The kit is pretty complete and I can't think of anything additional they should have included. The quality and engineering of the parts is very good. My gate is an 18 foot long 6 foot tall, 2 inch square steel frame slatted with wood and probably weighs in at about 500 pounds. First off, as a former aviation mechanic and technical writer, it's apparent the instructions were written by someone whose first language is not English. There is a lot of interpretation to be done, but it is doable. I set this system up with the infrared eyes, hard wired open and close switches, and an my own external power switch at the base of the unit. One of the drawbacks of this system is it does not provide for a Knox type switch for Fire Department override and entry. My way of getting around that is to put the Knox switch in parallel with the hard wire switches and provide directions to turn the power switch off af”
