The latest addition to ALEKO family of slide gate operators is ALEKO AR2050 Basic Kit Sliding Gate Opener for sliding Gate. It is AC powered and designed with a 120V AC (2 HP equivalent) motor. This gear rack sliding gate opener provides exceptional starting torque and continuous operation which makes it ideal for most applications. Constructed with an aluminum alloy chassis, it is corrosion resistant and light enough for one person to carry and install. 20 ft gear rack tracks is included (6 pcs Gear Racks, 3.3 Ft each, total: 20 Ft); if your gates more 18 ft in length just purchase an extra racks in "Parts" section.The heavy-duty motor supports gates weighing up to 2000 lbs and up to 60 ft in length.

“The packaging is terrible. On three different occasions the Aleko gate opener came damaged because of terrible packing.”

“During power outage the gate opener will forget all paired remotes and must be reprogrammed again. The circuit board doesn't have a battery. To prevent this the opener must be installed with battery backup power or solar kit.”

“Few things with this model. 1: control board is 10mm away from steel plate. This is a major design mistake because the plastic clips separating it away from a metal plate will often fail or are not properly installed in the factory. This will cause a electrical short and will make your gate opener act erratically. (Nothing more frustrating for a homeowner than a gate with mind of his own.) 2. The motor sit too low not allowing any clearance for electrical conduit and wiring from the concrete pad. This makes installation difficult and adjustment impossible (the fix is to cut the conduit at concrete level but this will compromise water protection something very important in electrical!) PS. The kit is not a complete kit. You will need few other things to complete the installation.”
