ALEKO according to the Installation Manual the Retractable patio awning should be installed to the wall on 8 Ft height.
In case if you have an obstruction like a light fixture or just do not have the height, you can mount the awning on the roof using this special ceiling brackets.

“The key pad that comes with the unit will store only one code. When I asked for a multiple code key pad at first was told that there wasn't one that would work with this unit. After questioning the operator they found one that would work with the unit. They didn't have any and it would be 3-4 weeks before the would have them.”
