“The awning was great quality but it was longer than the size I ordered. Therefore I had to return it because it didn't fit my space. They were very helpful with the return and a fast refund.”

“When the awning finally arrived, I was a little confused. I was under the impression this was a DIY project. After reading the somewhat confusing instructions, realizing I could not complete the installation myself, I decided to hire a professional to assist me in it's installation. This professional decided it was too complex for even him to attempt to install and put together this awning. With that said. I decided to send the AWNING BACK for a refund. Truthfully, this was the best decision I made. Now, trying to receive my Full Refund is another story. I'm sure I will have to escalate this claim to Pay Pal.”

“They told me that it was in stock but they had no clue. I had to call them after the provided delivery date to find out that maybe, it will ship two weeks after I called them but, that is three weeks after I ordered something from stock. Gee. Maybe I'll see it sometime soon? Stay tuned, we are going to find out. Wish me luck!”

“Very upset with the Canadian website. The Canadian site was in Canadian dollars, but when I went to check out, PayPal charged me more than the website stated by $80. This in my mind is a huge flaw. Advertising one price and charging another. Is that even legal? I immediately canceled my Canadian website transaction and went to the US site and took advantage of the spin to win 15% discount. Got it sent to Blaine Washington for free and had it flown with a shipping company to my home town for $40. I then self cleared it at the airport so no duty or brokerage fees. I would have been gouged by UPS or Fedex if I chose to ship with them let alone being charged over $100 to ship. What a deal if you are creative. No instructions were sent with my awning so I had to download them off the internet. It would have been nice to have paper in hand but reading off an iPhone was doable. The unit went together without too much problems. Some of the aluminum tubing was bent up on the ends but I just adjusted them with a set up pliers to make them fit. To save time, you definitely need 2 people to mount the material in the awing. Doing it by yourself, you work an inch at a time and with the awing being 16 feet, that translates to hours. With 2 people it took minutes. I would say most of install can be done by 1 person except for the material install and the lifting of the awing into the brackets once it's all together. As for the product itself, we are very pleased with the results. I had to manufacture some roof brackets to mount on top of the roof because our soffits were too low and we would end up hitting our heads. These are made from 3" x 3/16" thick aluminum U channel that I bought from the Metal Supermarkets and bolts from Home Depot. To make sure you get a roof rafter, I took a soffit down and made sure I was into them for support. Measured 24" on center and used some roofing sealant to seal up the holes I just made when I drilled into them. The install went without a hitch. Adjusting the set points for automatic use was a bit interesting. I had to really turn the adjustment screw until it would register but it eventually worked after maxing it one way. I just turned it the other way and it started to register. I was a little worried at first. All in all, despite the purchasing from the Canadian website and having to cancel the order, we are very happy with the results. Hopefully this will last a few seasons before we have to buy new material. I just wish they had a grey cover that they offered to match it. They have every other color but. Depending on how it goes, we might invest in an automatic wind sensor for safety.”
