“I told the wife before she left for work that I would likely be working on this project for the entire day. After 90 minutes I am having a cold beverage sitting under my (recently) motorized awning. Yes the instructions are horrible, but anyone with any mechanical aptitude can install this easily. Simply follow the instructions that Sal posted on here and you should have no problems at all. пїЅ”

“a lot of people do not like the fact that the instructions are very poor. and I can relate to that. However, for the price, for me, that is not an issue. after researching and reading posting after posting, I think it was an easy install. I converted my manual awning to a motorized. my awning is not an Aleko. the tube on my awning is 78mm dia which is about 15 mm bigger than what the aleko motor adapters (driver and crown) were designed for. I had to apply duct tape over the driver and the crown in order to have a nice fit inside the roller tube to make sure the key is engaged properly. It is not a plug and play in my experience but very pleased with the results. I had to play around with it in order to program the remote. but once the remote programming was completed, the limits setup was a breeze.Just bought another one for my other retractable awning. пїЅ”

“The Aleko Awning DM45RM motor and 12 x 10 awning are good, but Tech Support from Aleko (www.AlekoAwning.com) is terrible! Tech Support Staff do not seem to want to solve customer concerns, they only try to prevent product returns to Amazon within 30 days of purchase. My additional concerns are as follows: 1.) Aleko Tech Support ignored my 3 telephone voice-mails over a 5 day period requesting a telephone call-back to either me or my Carpenter Contractor regarding Awning/Motor mounting and configuration concerns. 2.) Aleko DM45RM motor install instructions are very hard to read due to samll 5 pt font used, 12 x 10 Awning Instructions are hard to understand due to incomplete or unclear instructions, and some 12 x 10 Awning and Motor parts included for assembly did not match the original OEM Aleko instructions. I downloaded the latest online Aleko 12 x 10 Awning and Motor Install Instructions, but these also have incomplete instructions. 3.) I chose to purchase a 3rd fr пїЅ”
