“Included assembly instructions were very difficult to follow and did not include instructions if using a motor. I used a combination of the included instructions and on-line video from Wayfair and still managed to incorrectly assemble it the first time. Also, the end-caps for the valence bar do not stay on and the roller support for the center that cradles the awning roller does not roll freely, so I had to re-build it to actually work properly (rollers did not turn as shipped).”

“I expected a very high quality product but was disappointed. The canvas did not seem to be nearly as substantial as other brands we looked at and the metal arms were definitely not as strong as other major brands. We decided to return the product even though we know it will cost us both return shipping and more than likely less than we originally paid. Very disappointed!”

“I couldn’t justify the price of a SunSetter so this was a great way to go. Instructions are lacking, especially for how to program a remote and how to set the outward limit. YouTube has a better video. Also they changed the design of the center support. Not a big deal but the instructions have it going on near the end of assembly. With the new design of the part you need to put it on much earlier so we had to disassemble the awning. There are some string frays on the canvas that I hope don’t become a problem over time. Also the holes for some of the parts don’t line up exactly so it’s a real bear to put together. Last but not least the hardware they send to mount it is for a cement or brick wall. Head to Lowe’s or Depot and have your lag bolts ready.”

“I received my sensor and there was no power cord. I sent a message to support and never got a response. The manual was not very helpful as the only picture referring to the cord referred to 240v.”
