As it turned out, the problem was not the switch. We needed an entire new motor! So we purchased one from Aleko and hope it lasts a loooooooooooooooooooooooooong time!

the two limit magnetic switches are side by side. The magnets to open and close should be about 3 inches higher/lower than each other. This will make one magnet open one switch, then other open the other. Purchase two plain old magnetic switches, glue them on a piece of plastic about 3 inches apart, and you have switches that will not be confused with each other. The switches you purchase must be NC (normally closed). Be careful, most are NO (Normally Open). they operate on 5vdc which is normal for security magnetic switches. Many security switches have both NO and NC connections.

The pc boards should come with a circuit diagram to explain how the circuit works. This would allow some of us to trouble shoot the problems without purchasing a new pc board for a 25 cent part, the relay was bad and the gate would not operate.
