Advantages does PU underlay have over rubber underlay?, Comfort and performance! PU underlay recovers to 90-95% of its original state when pressure is removed from above, whereas rubber recovers to 60-65% of its original state. PU is made from recycled product and is fully recyclable at the end of its life. The rolls are substantially lighter than rubber, so easier to lift and carry. The heavier the density the more the carpet "bounces back" to its original state after pressure is applied. The better thickness of the underlay gives more feeling of comfort underfoot. The thicker the underlay the more luxurious it feels to walk on.. All our P U underlays products are flame retardant.
