“I've been getting migraines since I was two, I've never known life without them, I've tried so many medications, both preventative and day off, without luck, some made my symptoms worse. I was skeptical, but I'm so glad I gave Allay lamp a try. Immediately, I noticed how soothing the color was, and being able to dim it is helpful, it's perfect any time of day and dim enough to leave on at night. I find it eases my symptoms on migraine days, with a mild migraine I can actually read a book with the lamp on. I never would have considered reading with a migraine before! I have mine on most of the time, especially in the evening, even falling asleep with it on. It helps me fall asleep and I wake up with fewer migraines. I've also been using the lamp at work, since we can't let clients in the building, we've been leaving most lights off, but my Allay lamp is right there, my coworkers find it soothing as well, which is wonderful during a time of so much stress for everyone.”
“The lamp is very easy to use. I have chronic migraine, and this light has allowed me to read books to my daughter at night when I would otherwise have to be in the dark.”
“The light is much easier on the eyes than regular light. It allows me to get more work done with my migraine and I would not have passed my college classes without one.”
“Initially, my feeling was that the lamp was making my headaches worse. With continued use, I'm not sure that's the case, but I don't see any improvement. When I look at the lamp, even on the lowest setting, it causes mild pain in my eyes. I just don't think it's right for me, and I'm probably going to return it in the next few days before my 40 day trial is over.”
“At first I was skeptical and it took a few days for me to get used to, but now I use it every day.
The green light is soothing and not harsh. I can see, do some stretches, move about, take my meds, write things down - things I can't do under a blanket or sleep mask to get away from the light. It does not irritate my eyes, even if I am having a bad migraine with visual symptoms. I started using migraine Fl-41 lens glasses to make everyday light less harsh, and then using the Allay lamp when I want to ease my eyes but still be able to see. With these adjustments, I feel like my light sensitivity and nausea symptoms have decreased and I have been able to get back to some of my everyday activities.
The lamp itself feels too bright if its in my field of vision, so it can be difficult to figure out where to place it so that I have the light shining where I want it, but I'm not looking into it. Also, I would prefer if there were actual buttons or knobs to turn it off and on, and to make it brighter or dimmer.
I would recommend trying the Allay lamp to see if it is helpful for you.”
“First, let me say that the customer service team from Allay is fantastic. They helped me every step of the way through the purchasing process and followed-up timely to make sure I was completely satisfied with the lamp. Now on to the actual lamp - my wife (who does not suffer from migraines) likes to steal it from me to help her fall asleep! When I can actually pry it away from her, it significantly helps combat any headache and helps me fall asleep as well. And the cooler thing about it is if I do not have a headache, I can just flip it upside down and it duals as a white-light lamp and dim it to my preferred light level. So cool! Very satisfied with my purchase...it is one of the best investments I have ever made.”
