“I've been giving this to my cat since 2011, after his second hip surgery for hip dysplasia that was causing luxating patella. The vet surgeon had recommended a chondroprotectant, and had initially advised glucosamine/chondroitin, but my cat has allergies to shellfish (glucosamine). My vet rx'd this for me to give subq at home since my cat is terrified of vets, and it has done wonders for him. It keeps him active and healthy, and even his xrays showed improvement! We did follow-up xrays a couple of years after the 2nd surgery (1 surgery on each back leg, about 1 year apart), and even the vet surgeon was surprised at the results. He said looking at the xrays after 2 years of giving Adequan, he would not even be able to tell that my cats hips had ever had problems! So, I love this. It's easy to give, and at least in my cat, has caused miraculous improvement in the hip joints. This cat is nearly 11 years old now and still is very playful and active, the most active cat I have, despite requiring the surgeries when he was about 1 - 2 years old. I highly recommend Adequan, even though it isn't cheap ;)”
