“Without this miracle drug, our 9 year old dog would not be able to walk...... He has had 3 major ACL surgeries when he was 6. He later suffered severe joint pain and had great difficulty walking. After we put him on this medication, he has fully recovered and is even able to play like he used to when he was younger. No limping or pain since. According to his weight, (22#) he needs 45mg. daily. We put him on a low dose (15mg. daily) and he does much better. It is not recommended to give them the recommended high 45mg. dose for long periods, but he has been on this low dose for the last 4 years without any trouble. We cannot stress enough what this wonderful drug has done for our pet~! WE DO recommend going with the lowest dose possible however. Start with the full dose (by body weight) for about a week, then drop it to 1/3 of that. For our dog, we buy the 57mg. and cut them into 1/4's. (15mg.) This drug has literally saved his quality of life~!”
