“Previcox is an outstanding product for the control of chronic pain. Our beloved 11 yr old Aussie Shepherd does not have a hip socket on her right side, the result of an auto vs dog accident when she was 6. Dog lost. She has gotten along well without the hip, but we can tell that it is bothering her more as she has gotten older. 57 mg per day eases her discomfort and allows her to be more active with our other 6 dogs. The 227 mg size is much less expensive per dose than the 57 mg size. The 227 mg size cut in quarters with a pill cutter yields 4 56.75 mg doses. Although there is a low incidence of intestinal problems with Previcox, our vet recommends 3 days on, 1 day off, just as a precaution. Allivet had the best price and ordering was very easy.
