“We live in a serious tick area in the woods of Kentucky. We were using Bravecto; the dog still got ticks, but they died after biting her, so we still had to pick ticks off, just not full, live ones (flat, dead ones). Surprisingly, she still got erlichiosis. We tried the Soresto collar in September, and haven't picked a single tick off since. We are into the 6th month, and she has started to scratch a bit, fleas, so we are getting a new collar--not 8 months, but still a good deal and effective control.”
“Just got my shipment and these collars are really cheap looking and flimsy. They don't even have a buckle, just a slot to put the end of the collar through. Bummer! The little reflector tabs have to be attached to the collar and have already fallen off every time my dogs rub against something. Really? Don't know if they're effective at preventing tick and flea infestations yet but so far I'm not impressed. I've always used Advantix collars but they're back ordered by the manufacturer so I was forced to go with Soresto. Let the buyer be ware!”
