“Clomicalm was purchased on a friend's recommendation. I use it for my cat, he is approx 15 lbs and I used 1/4 tablet (.5 mg) and it seems to keep his issues under control. He had a bad habit of periodically marking what he thought belonged to him. We have a household of 9 cats and 1 dog and he would use the litter pan, but I would find where he would mark territorially, including window sills, furniture and curtains (thank goodness they were curtains so I could wash them). Since giving him Clomicalm his marking has lessened to a point where I think I have had just a couple of clean-ups, which is much better than what I had before. He still shows attitude with his brothers, but with that many I feel that is to be expected. I do not find him to be overly drugged and not have his own personality, but he does sleep a lot - but watch out when he comes to 'life'. He acts just like he always has, personality-wise, and you could never tell he was on calming medication. It has prevented him from being an outside cat, which is where he was heading if he did not quit this marking. My husband had enough of it. That's when my friend suggested I try Clomicalm.
