“Temaril is great but beware that steroid use can cause what is called iatrogenic hyperadrenocorticism which is steroid induced cushing's sysdrome. My dog is battling this right now from over 5 years use of Temaril-P. Is it great if used sparingly but using this medication everyday, long term can indeed harm your pet....my dog is proof of this and luckily I caught the symptoms and have now weaned her off the med but now I have a itchy dog again. Just don't use this med long term and you should be fine. No steroid should be used long tern unless there is no other option. I did it because I thought that since Temaril is such a low low dose of steroid it would not cause any issues. I was wrong and my dog is paying the price.”
