The sticks keep their teeth clean and in great shape between annual cleanings without daily brushing. We don't give our dogs natural rawhide; these are sticks composed of already chopped rawhide bound together with an enzyme that cleans their teeth. Also, these are small enough to be consumed in one sitting - the regular rawhide chunks led to some hard feelings when picked up by a a dog other than the one taking a momentary break from it.
