“Nutramax items are always superb. My dog was previously on Dasequin (an enhanced version of the Cosequin supplement), but had some difficulty tolerating the avocado in it. We switched to the regular Cosequin DS & used it for a couple of months while she was on a prescription med that irritated her stomach (to limit irritation). It is effective as I noticed less hind leg tremors in my now senior GSD that has both spondylosis & hip dysplasia. I have just been giving her this Cosequin with MSM for 1 1/2 days & it appears that, as with the Dasequin, I will need to start off with just a 1/4 tab once or twice per day & build up to the suggested dosage in order to avoid GI issues (she hasa sensitive stomach). I am hoping the MSM will relieve the pain due to the aforementioned issues, and appreciate that it is safer to use than pain meds.”
