“Our 12 year old Bichon has been exhibiting anxious behavior at night. It seems like he has Sundowner’s. We tried Trazodone but it was the worst night we ever had with our dog. He would not sleep, he scratched at the walls, barked at nothing and in the morning threw up. So, our vet prescribed Acepromazine. A half pill an hour before bedtime seems to be working. We also take our dog for a long walk about an hour before he gets the Ace. We have all been sleeping better.”
“Has worked overall well for my German Shepherd Dog as a tranquilizer as he recovers from an ACL injury. It is more expensive than the Trazadone my vet initially prescribed, but unfortunately the Trazadone had NO effect on my dog. I am overall happy with this medication and the only reason I give 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the cost. I hope my review helps somebody.”
