“I have been giving my dog the traditional Denamarin pills for 2 years due to her high ALTs. Every morning, an hour before feedings, I had to put one of those big pills down her throat. It was worth it because they are part of her medical plan that is literally saving her life. What a godsend to find the supplement in chewable tablets! Now, every morning, she comes to me for her Denamarin!!! Such a more gentle way for us to begin our day!”
“3.5. These really should rate 5 stars because my dog's liver enzymes have been stable after taking this in conjunction with fluconazole for over a year. I am very grateful! I deducted one star, though, because they are insanely expensive (there really needs to be a generic) and another half star because, although they are chewable I have to disguise them with peanut butter to get my dog to eat them, which is contrary to the instructions (though my vet says is a common complaint and okay).”
“Without Allivet supplying the Denamarin for my PixieWinkle baby girl Chihuahua, she wouldn't be nearing her 16th birthday! She has been in liver failure for almost 3 years and by having her Denamarin and every day, she wouldn't still be with me enjoying her life! Totally awesome!”
“It works! But... it's getting harder and harder to get the pill into her. She detests the taste of the chewable and i have to chop it up and hide it in wet food or peanut butter. It's better than the giant blue tablets that turn my fingers and my dog blue around the mouth during our struggle to put it into the white dog.
I wish the makers would get the message that the blue tablet coating is ridiculous and some dogs don't like whatever flavor they are using.”
“We've been using this product to help our 12 year old Labrador, Sadie. She has kidney disease, and idiopathic (so far) elevated liver enzymes. Her tests have improved since being on Denamarin and these chewable tablets are much easier than administering the non-chewable version. Thanks for making them available.”
