“A couple years ago when my then middle-school son shot up to 6'6" I knew that I wasn't going to be able to just walk into a store and buy some joggers that were long enough in his favorite athletic brand. No problem, I thought--we have the internet now! I'll just go online and in a few clicks I should be able to order them with a long inseam, right? Boy, was I wrong! What I found was that the major athletic brands didn't offer long inseams, or if they did offer them, the inseam was a 33 or 34 at best, and they only offered that in larger waist sizes, which was not going to work for us. I even emailed their customer service departments but I never got a reply beyond the usual automated "thank you for contacting us, your concerns are important to us."
I couldn't understand why the major athletic brands didn't sell clothing that fit actual, real-life athletes, especially teenage athletes who tend to be loyal to their brands! It felt like a betrayal, and yes, we are a little bit jaded about that!
Thankfully, I found American Tall! I recently ordered these joggers for my son in Medium Tall and they fit perfectly! He loves them, and he doesn't care if they don't have a swoosh or some stripes. He is just glad that he doesn't have to sag his pants anymore! Thank you for recognizing the needs of the tall and lean people in this world!”
